The Dart
A superhero origin story from the mind of a deranged 21-year-old.
In 2018 I wrote an origin story for a superhero named “The Dart.” This was during the height of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (shortly before Infinity War was released) so superheroes were a central component of American cultural zeitgeist. I wrote it as a joke, and then casually shared it with a few coworkers. It’s short— 739 words in total.
